PRELIMINARY STUDIES SUGGEST THAT
CERTAIN OCCUPATIONAL FACTORS, PARTICULARLY RELATED TO PETROLEUM
REFINING AND CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING, MAY PLAY A ROLE IN THE ORIGIN
OF BRAIN TUMORS. THIS SPECIAL EPIDEMIOLOGIC STUDY WILL PROVIDE THE
NEEDED DATA TO IDENTIFY AND QUANTIFY OCCUPATIONAL AND OTHER RISK
FACTORS FOR THESE CANCERS.
