Terms of Clearance: This preliminary plan is approved for letting the contract under the following conditions: 1) HCFA and other major data users must be included in the planning process (phase I) for developing collection methods and instruments, and 2) at the time clearance for the study implementation is requested a detailed statement of uses and users of the NAMCS shall be submitted. This statement should address both current uses of the office-based NAMCS and planned/expected uses of the hospital-based NAMCS.
