Abstract: THE INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS OF THE 30 CFR PART 231 ARE NECESSARY TO T U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY FOR REGULATING EXPLORATION AND MININING OPERATIONS ON FEDERAL MINERALS OTHER THAN OIL, GAS AND COAL, REGARDING PRODUCTION, DEVELOPMENT, RESOURCE RECOVERY AND PROTECTION, ROYALTIES AND PROTECTION OF OTHER NATURAL RESOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MINER LEASING ACT OF 1920 AS AMENDED.
