Abstract: SURVEY RESULTS ARE USED BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD TO BENCHMARK ITS MONTHLY SERIES AND BY OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, SUCH AS THE BUREAU OF INDUSTRIAL ECONOMICS AND THE BUREAU OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS, BUSINESS INFLATIONARYY PRESSURES AND CAPITAL FLOWS, TO UNDERSTAND PRODUCTIVITY DETERMINANTS, TO FORECAST ECONOMIC TRENDS, AND TO ANALYZE INDUSTRY TRENDS AND AVERAGES.
