Abstract: ANY REGISTERED DOSAGE FORM MANUFACTURER WHO WISHES TO PURCHASE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES IN SCHEDULE II OF THE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT MUST APPLY ON DEA FORM 250 FOR A PROCUREMENT QUOTA, WHICH LIMITS THE QUANTITY THAT MAY BE PURCHASED. THE INFORMATION IS USED BY DEA FOR ESTABLISHING PROCUREMENT QUOTAS AND EXERCISING CONTROL OVER THE PROCUREMENT OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES.
