READ AS FOLLOWS: "AT THE END OF EACH YEAR, THE INDEPENDENT PUBLIC
ACCOUNTANT SHALL, AS PART OF THE ANNUAL FINANCIAL AUDIT, ISSUE A
REPORT ON WHETHER OR NOT H OR SHE BELIEVES THAT THE MORTGAGEE'S
PROCEDURES FOR PAYMENT OF MIP TO HUD ARE ADEQUATE TO ENSURE
COMPLIANCE WITH HUD REGULATIONS AND RULES P THE REVISED HUD AUDIT
GUIDE." AS THIS RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENT IS GENERALLY MAINTAINED
AS A PART OF CONVENTIONAL FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS, HUD WILL NOT BE
CHARGED FOR THE REPORTING BURDEN. THIS RECORDKEEEPING REQUIREMENT
WILL BE CONSOLIDATED WITH OMB APPROVAL NO.2502-0046 AS OF DECEMBER
1,1982.

SECTION 530 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING
ACT REQUIRES SINGLE FAMILY MORTGAGEES TO REMIT FHA PREMIUMS AS THEY
ARE COLLECTED EACH MONTH. IN ORDER THAT HUD MAY AUDIT MORTGAGEE
COMPLIANCE IT IS REQUIRED THAT THEY MAINTAIN RECORDS OF MORTGAGE
CASE NUMBERS, MIP COLLECTIONS AND REMITTANCES.
