Abstract: SECTION 530 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT REQUIRES SINGLE FAMILY MORTGAGEES TO REMIT FHA PREMIUMS AS THEY ARE COLLECTED EACH MONTH. IN ORDER THAT HUD MAY AUDIT MORTGAGEE COMPLIANCE IT IS REQUIRED THAT THEY MAINTAIN RECORDS OF MORTGAGE CASE NUMBERS, MIP COLLECTIONS AND REMITTANCES.
