IS NECESSARY TO COMPORT WITH LOCAL LAWS AND CUSTOMS. HUD WILL
PROMULGATE A LISTING OF STANDARD ITEMS AND NUMBERS (SUCH AS THOSE
DELETED ABOVE THAT ARE TO BE USED BY LOCALITIES AS THE STANDARD

SECTION 4 OF THE REAL ESTATE
SETTLEMENT PROCEDURES ACT DIRECTS HUD TO PRESCRIBE A STANDARD FORM
FOR THE STATEMENT OF SETTLEMENT COSTS IN FEDERALLY-RELATED MORTGAGE
TRANSACTIONS. THE FORM IS USED TO INFORM HOMEBUYERS AND SELLERS OF
THEIR SETTLEMENT COSTS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies

1320.8(b)(3).
