Abstract: TO CONDUCT A FOLLOW-UP OR REEXAMINATION OF A COHORT OF NATIVES OF GUAM AND PALAU TO ASSESS TRENDS IN CARDIOVASCULAR (AND OTHER CHRONIC DISEASES) AND ASSOCIATED RISK FACTORS OVER THE LAST 15 YEARS. EPIDEMIOLOGIC STUDY OF SAME COHORT IN 1968-1970 DOCUMENTED THAT CVD PREVALENCE FOLLOWED A PATTERN OF BEING HIGHEST IN MODERNIZED AREAS AND LOWEST IN AREAS OF TRADITIONAL CULTURE.
