THEY PROVIDE THE BASIC DATA FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF THEIR ECONOMIES. THE DATA ARE ALSO USED TO ANALYZE THE EFFECTS OF FARM PROGRAMS AND POLICY TO MAKE PROGRAM ALLOCATIONS.
