Abstract: 49 CFR PART 218.30 REQUIRES THE OPERATOR OF "REMOTELY CONTROLLED SWITCHES" TO PERFORM SPECIFIC PROCEDURES WHEN PROVIDING "BLUE SIGNAL PROTECTION" FOR WORKMEN. THE RECORDING REQUIREMENT IS DESIGNED TO COMPLEMENT THE REQUIREMENTS FOR HANDLING HANDLING OF REMOTELY CONTROLLED SWITCHES BY ENHANCING ATTENTION TO SAFETY REQUIREMENTS.
