Terms of Clearance: EPA has briefed OMB on the status of the pilot study. The survey is voluntary, therefore respondents are not required to comply if this survey is too burdensome. EPA is alsi taking steps to improve questions that tend to be confusing. When the final questionnaire is ready, EPA should submit a copy to OMB to keep the docket updated.

Abstract: THIS IS A STUDY BY OFFICE OF POLICY ANALYSIS OF BUSINESSES AND OTHER NONGOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS THAT GENERATE HAZARDOUS WASTES. IT IS A VOLUNTARY, ONE-TIME EFFORT THAT WILL ALLOW THE AGENCY TO MEASURE THE LEVEL OF REGULATORY COMPLIANCE PHASE I OF THE RCRA HAZARDOUS WASTE PROGRAM FACES.
