(49 CFR PARA. 191.11) REQUIRES GAS OPERATORS TO REPORT ANNUALLY TO DOT CONCERNING THE SIZE AND NATURE OF THE SYSTEM, TOTAL LEAKS REPAIRED, NUMBER OF PERSONAL INJURIES AND PROPERTY DAMAGE AND CAUSE OF FAILURE. THIS INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EXISTING REGULATIONS AND PLAN MODIFICATIONS WHERE APPROPRIATE.
