Abstract: THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) REQUIRES THAT COMMUNITI PARTICIPATING IN THE NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM SUBMIT AN ANNUAL REPORT ON PROGRESS MADE IN LOCAL FLOOD PLAIN MANGEMENT. THE USE OF A SIMPLE, STANDARD FORMAT FACILITATES FEMA'S REPORTING OF RESPONSES, THUS ENHANCING THE REPORT'S VALUE AS A MANAGEMENT TOOL. AUTHORITY FOR THIS ACTION IS GIVEN UNDER CFR, TITLE 44, CHAPTER 1, SUBCHAPTER B, PART 59.22.
