Abstract: DD FORM 2000 HAS BEEN MADE MANDATORY BY LOGISTICS COMMANDERS OF ARMED SERVICES TO EFFECT COMMON UTILIZATION OF ENGINEERING DATA. DATA INCLUD FAILURE ANALYSIS REPORTS, DESTRUCTIVE PHYSICAL ANALYSIS REPORTS, NONSTANDARD PARTS, PROCUREMENT SPECIFICATIONS. ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO REDUCE OR ELIMINATE DUPLICATORY EXPENDITURES FOR GOVERNMENT PROCURED HARDWARE. FORM ALSO USED TO SUMMARIZE TEST REPORTS PREPARATION OF TEST REPORTS.
