Abstract: THIS FORM WAS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTOR A BASIS FOR CLAIMING EXEMPTION FROM SUBMISSION OF CERTIFIED COST OR PRICING DATA, BASED ON ESTABLISHED CATALOG OR MARKET PRICES OF COMMERCIAL ITEM SOLD IN SUBSTANTIAL QUANTITIES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, OR PRICES SET BY LAW OR REGULATION. THIS FORM IS NEEDED BECAUSE IT REQUIRES THE MINIMU AMOUNT OF SALES DATA NECESSARY FOR THE CONTRACTING OFFICER TO DETERMIN THAT THE CONTRACTOR SATISFIES THE EXEMPTION CRITERIA.
