Abstract: HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITIES MUST APPLY FOR A PERMIT TO LOCATE THEIR OPERATION IN SEISMICALLY ACTIVE AREAS AND/OR 100-YEAR FLOODPLAINS. EPA REQUIRES THIS INFORMATION TO DETEMRINE IF FACILITIES ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE LOCATION STANDARDS UNDER THE RESOURCE CONSERVATION AND RECOVERY ACT AND FOR FURTHER REFINEMENT OF EPA'S PERMITTING REQUIREMENTS.
