Abstract: THE LEGISLATIVE MANDATE REQUIRES THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR EDUCATION STATISTICS TO DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT AND OPERATE A NATIONAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION DATA SYSTEM EMPLOYING UNIFORM DEFINITIONS AND STANDARD DATA ELEMENTS. INFORMATION COLLECTED WILL BE USED TO PREPARE THE ANNUAL REPORT TO CONGRESS ON THE STATE OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION.
