Abstract: THIS FORM IS USED BY THE CARRIERS TO NOTIFY THE COMMISSION OF ISSUANCE OF SHORT TERM NOTES. THE INFORMATION REQUESTED BY THE COMMISSION IS USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER ISSUANCE OF SUCH NOTES IS WITHIN THE LIMIT AUTHORIZED BY THE ACT AND IS PART OF THE ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURE NEEDED TO ASCERTAIN THAT CARRIER SECURITIES ARE ISSUED FOR LAWFUL OBJECTS WITHIN CARRIER'S CORPORATE PURPOSES AND ARE COMPATIBLE AND CONSISTENT WITH THE PUBLIC INTEREST.
