Abstract: THE 1983 NHIS WILL COLLECT DATA ON THE UTILIZATION OF HEALTH SERVICES, THE MAGNITUDE AND DISTRIBUTION OF ILLNESS AND THE EFFECTS OF ILLNESS IN THE U.S. POPULATION. IN ADDITION, SUPPLEMENTARY TOPICS RELATED TO "ALCOHOL/HEALTH PRACTICES," "SMOKING CESSATION" AND "DENTAL CARE" WILL BE ASKED.
