Abstract: THE SURVEY OF CONSUMER FINANCES WILL GATHER DATA ON ASSETS AND LIABILITIES, FINANCIAL BEHAVIOR, PENSIONS, AND SOCIAL SECURITY FROM A NATIONALLY REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLE OF 5000 HOUSEHOLDS. THE PENSION PROVIDER INSTRUMENT WILL GATHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE PLANS IN WHICH HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS PARTICIPATE. THE DATA WILL BE USED FOR A VARIETY OF STUDIES, INCLUDING STUDIES OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF SAVINGS AND RETIREME INCOME.
