Abstract: THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO REGULATION S-X WOULD PROHIBIT THE CAPITALIZATION OF COSTS OF DEVELOPING COMPUTER SOFTWARE FOR SALE OR LEASE TO OTHERS BY REGISTRANTS THAT HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY DISCLOSED SUCH A PRACTICE.
