Abstract: THE HEAL PROGRAM PROVIDES FEDERALLY INSURED LOANS TO STUDENTS ATTENDIN ELIGIBLE HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOOLS. SECTION 739 OF THE PHS ACT REQUIRES HEAL SCHOOLS TO KEEP CERTAIN RECORDS OF HEAL STUDENT LOANS. SECTION 60.56 OF THE AUGUST 3, 1978 INTERIM-FINAL REGULATIONS AND THE PENDING FINAL REGULATIONS SETS FORTH THE SPECIFIC RECORDS AND THE RECORD RETENTION PERIOD.
