Abstract: THE ENVIRONMENTAL RADIATION AMBIENT MONITORING SYSTEM IS THE ONLY NATIONWIDE RADIATION MONITORING NETWORK. THIS SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO MONITOR RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT, ASSESS POPULATION EXPOSRUE AND TAKE PUBLI HEALTH ACTIONS WHEN NECESSARY. AIR, MILK AND WATER ARE ANALYZED FROM SAMPLES OBTAINED FOR EPA BY STATE AGENCIES.
