Abstract: THE CREDENTIALING STANDARDS WILL BE AN IMPORTANT RESOURCE FOR STATE ALCOHOLISM AUTHORITIES, STATE COUNSELOR CREDENTIALING BOARDS, STATE COUNSELOR ASSOCIATIONS, AND THE MAJOR ALCOHOLISM CONSTITUENCY GROUPS, AND WILL REDUCE POSITIVE BENEFITS FOR THE COUNSELING PROFESSIONS, ALCOHOLISM SERVICES PROGRAMS, AND CLIENTS RECEIVING SERVICES.
