Abstract: AFTER 1985 IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO LINK THE NCHS POPULATION-BASED SURVE BY USING THE REDESIGNED NATIONAL HEALTH INTERVIEW SURVEY (NHIS) SAMPLE AS THE SAMPLING FRAME FOR THE OTHER POPULATION-BASED SURVEYS. METHODOLOGIES FOR LINKING THE SURVEYS WILL BE EVALUATED THROUGH FIELD TESTS IN SEVERAL NHIS PRIMARY SAMPLING UNITS. INTERVIEWS WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH RESIDENTS OF SAMPLED NHIS ADDRESSES.
