Since the HCFA 255 incorporates data elements designed for evaluation purposes, the HCFA 255 is more burdensome than required for cost reimbursement purposes.

Abstract: THE MUNICIPAL HEALTH SERVICES PROGRAM COST REPORT FORMS FOR REPORTING MEDICARE COSTS UNDER THE WAIVER EXPIRE APRIL 30, 1983 AND WIL BE RENEW FOR 3 MORE YEARS IN ORDER FOR CLINICS TO REPORT AND BE REIMBRUSED ON A COST BASIS AS LONG AS THE WAIVERS ARE IN EFFECT, THROUGH DECEMBER 1984 AT A MINIMUM, AND POSSIBLY LONGER.
