Abstract: THIS PART OF THE REGULATIONS PROVIDES THAT CERTAIN ITEMS MAY BE ADMITTED DUTY FREE, SUCH AS FARMING IMPLEMENTS, SEED POTATOES, ETC., PROVIDING THE IMPORTER CAN PROVE THESE ITEMS WERE ACTUALLY USED AS CONTEMPLATED BY THE LAW. THE IMPORTER MUST MAINTAIN DETAILED RECORDS AND FURNISH A STATEMENT OF USE. THIS IS A RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENT PURSUANT TO 19 CFR 10.137 - RETENTION PERIOD: 3 YEARS FROM THE DATE OF LIQUIDATION OF ENTRY.
