Abstract: THE BILINGUAL EDUCATION ACT (TITLE VII OF ESEA) AUTHORIZES THE SECRETARY TO AWARD FELLOWHIPS FOR STUDY IN THE FIELD OF TRAINING TEACHERS FOR BILINGUAL EDUCATION (20 U.S.C. 3233(A)(2)). THE BILINGUAL EDUCATION FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATION PACKAGE (ED 4561-2) IS A MODICICATION OF THE BILINGUAL EDUCATION PROGRAM APPLICATION PACKAGE (ED 4561) APPROVED FOR USE IN THE FY 1980 COMPETITION FOR NEW GRANT AWARDS.
