Abstract: THIS FORM INFORMS BLM OF POTENTIAL LAND AREAS TO BE SURVEYED AS OMITTED LAND OR ISLANDS WHICH HAVE NEVER BEEN SURVEYED BY THE UNITED STATES. THE FORM IS PURSUANT TO 43 U.S.C. 1721 AND 43 U.S.C. 1221. THE INFORMATION IS REVIEWED AND IF IT IS CONCLUDED THAT AN UNSERVEYED LAND AREA EXISTS, A FIELD SURVEY INVESTIGATION WILL BE AUTHORIZED AS A PRELIMINARY STEP BEFORE A CADASTRAL SURVEY IS EXECUTED
