Abstract: SECTION 73.546 REQUIRES THAT ALL NONCOMMERCIAL FM LICENSEES WISHING TO ESTABLISH AN ATS MONITORING AND ALARM POINT OTHER THAN AT THE STATION TRANSMITTER, MAIN STUDIO, OR AN AUTHORIZED REMOTE CONTROL POINT SUBMIT AN INFORMAL REQUEST TO THE FCC WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE LOCATION OF THE POINT AND STATING THE BASIS FOR ITS SELECTION. THIS REQUEST (NOTIFICATION) IS TO ASSURE THE COMMISSION THAT GOOD ENGINEERING PRACTICES ARE APPLIED.
