Abstract: UNDER THE EMPLOYEE PROTECTION PROGRAM ESTABLISHED BY THE AIRLINE DEREGULATION ACT, THE CAB WILL IDENTIFY "QUALIFYING DISLOCATIONS" OF CERTIFICATED AIR CARRIERS, EITHER ON ITS OWN INITIATIVE OR UPON APPLICATION BY AN AFFECTED EMPLOYEE. THE APPLICATION FORM PROVIDES BASIC INFORMATION THAT IS NEEDED TO ENSURE THAT CAB PROCEEDINGS ON THIS SUBJECT ARE UNDERTAKEN ONLY WHEN THERE IS A REASONABLE POSSIBILITY THAT A QUALIFYING DISLOCATION WILL ACTUALLY BE FOUND.
