Terms of Clearance: The Export Administration Act is currently in the process of being reauthorized. Since legislative changes are being considered which may necessitate chanesin export regulations and associated reporting and recordkeeping requirements, it would be more appropriate to review this requirement after the law has been reauthorized. Accordingly, a six month approval is being provided.

Abstract: UNDER THIS PROCEDURE THE U.S. EXPORTER REQUESTS HIS SWEDISH CUSTOMERS WHO ENJOY GOOD REPUTATIONS TO VOLUNTARILY SUBMIT A LETTER AFFIRMING THAT THEY WILL NOT KNOWINGLY DIVERT U.S. IMPORTS CONTRARY TO U.S. LAW. AFTER THIS LETTER IS RECEIVED LICENSING PROCEEDS ON A SOUNDER AND MORE PROMPT BASIS.
