Abstract: THE MEDICAID AGENCY WILL USE THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE STATE IV-D AGENCY TO ESTABLISH THIRD PARTY LIABILITY AND TO OBTAIN THIRD PARTY PAYMENTS FOR MEDICAL SERVICES WHICH WOULD OTHERWISE BE PAID BY MEDICAID. THIS WILL RESULT IN COST SAVINGS TO STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS. THE AFFECTED PUBLIC IS COMPRISED OF STATE IV-D AGENCIES.
