THE COLLECTION OF ADDITIONAL COPIES IS DISAPPROVED AS IT EXCEEDS THE LIMITATION OF 1 ORIGINAL AND 2 COPIES CONTAINED IN THE OMB STANDARD AT 5 CFR 1320.6(g). IMS IS TO INSTITUTE A RULEMAKING TO AMEND ALL IMS REGULATIONS TO CONFORM WITH THE OMB STANDARD OF 1 ORIGINAL AND 2 COPIES. THE OMB STANDARD WAS DELIBERATELY ESTABLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PAPERWORK REDUCTION ACT TO RELIEVE THE PUBLIC OF UNNECESSARY COSTS AND BURDEN. AS INDICATED IN STAFF DISCUSSIONS WITH OMB, IMS CAN REQUEST REPROGRAMMING OF GRANT FUNDS TO PAY FOR THE EXPENSE OF COPYING GRANT APPLICATIONS.
