Abstract: INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO DESCRIBE INCIDENCE AND USE PATTERNS OF DIFFERENT SOLID FUEL APPLIANCE AND CHIMNEY SYSTEMS. THIS WILL BE USED TO ASSESS THE RELATIVE RISK OF FIRE AMONG SUCH PRODUCTS. DATA WILL BE PROVIDED BY A TELEPHONE SURVEY OF HOUSEHOLDS EQUIPPED WITH WORKING WOOD STOVES, FIREPLACES AND FIREPLACE INSERTS.
