Abstract: THE PROPOSED SURVEY WILL BE THE THIRD SURVEY IN A PROGRAM BEGUN IN 1978 TO MONITOR ON A REGULAR BASIS THE FLOW OF PERSONNEL INTO AND OUT OF BASIC NUCLEAR SCIENCE. THE SURVEY, AS IN THE PAST, WILL BE CONDUCTED BY THE MANPOWER SUBCOMMITTEE OF THE DOE/NSF NUCLEAR SCIENCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
