Abstract: PER REGULATIONS PUBLISHED 10/9/82, THE DEPARTMENT REIMBURSES POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS FOR ONE-HALF OF THE COSTS OF ADMINISTERING THE WORKFARE PROGRAM. THIS RULE PROVIDES EXTRA REIMBURSEMENT FOR FOR THESE POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS, AS REQUIRED BY THE FOOD STAMP ACT AMENDMENT OF 1982. TO RECEIVE EXTRA REIMBURSEMENT THE SUBDIVISION MUST CALCULATE THE SAVINGS WHICH RESULT FROM A WORKFARE PARTICIPANT BECOMING EMPLOYED, AND REQUEST THE ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO WHICH IT IS
