Abstract: EPA IS ADDING PROVISIONS FOR EXEMPTION FROM MONITORING FOR CYANIDE AT ALUMINUM FORMING AND PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING FACILITIES, AND A REQUIREMENT OF NOTIFICATION BY CANMAKING FACILITIES WHENEVER A PROCESS CHANGE OCCURS. FACILITIES OBTAIN EXEMPTIONS BY CERTIFYING TO THE PERMIT AUTHORITY (EPA, STATE OR LOCAL) THAT CYANIDE IN THE DISCHARGE IS NOT PRESENT.
