Abstract: SECTION 5(I) OF THE HOME OWNERS LOAN ACT OF 1933 AND 12 CFR 543.8 AND CFR 552.2 REQUIRE THE FHLBB TO ACT ON REQUESTS BY STATE-CHARTERED ASSOCIATIONS TO CONVERT TO FEDERAL ASSOCIATION CHARTER. FHLBB FORMS 159-A, 159-B, 159-C, AND 159-D ARE USED TO EVALUATE WHETHER CONVERSION APPLICANTS SATISFY APPROPRIATE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR A FEDERAL CHARTER AND WILL OPERATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH FHLBB REGULATIONS AND POLICY SUBSEQUENT TO CONVERSION.
