Although the information requested by this Examination Advance Package is extensive, this request is approved for two years because OMB recognizes that the condition of the S&L industry requires the FHLBB to closely monitor these institutions. However, because of the changes the industry is experiencing, we expect the FHLBB will reevaluate this package prior to three years, and therefore the clearance is for two years instead of three. In that time, if the industry outlook improves, we believe a reduction of required information may be attainable.
