Abstract: THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT HAS A CLEAR AND IMMEDIATE NEED FOR FREQUENT APPAREL PRODUCTION DATA TO MONITOR THE EFFECT OF IMPORTS ON THE DOMESTIC APPAREL PRODUCTION INDUSTRY. THE USERS OF THESE DATA WILL BE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, BUSINESS FIRMS, TRADE ASSOCIATIONS, AND RESEARCH AND CONSULTING ORGANIZATIONS. THE AFFECTED PUBLIC WILL BE TH LARGER APPAREL PRODUCERS.
