Abstract: THE DESERT LAND ACT ALLOWS FOR THE POSSIBLE TRANSFER OF UP TO 320 ACRE OF PUBLIC LANDS TO INDIVIDUALS. SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON THE INDIVIDUA APPLYING FOR THE LAND AND THE CAPABILITY/SUITABILITY OF THE LAND FOR SUSTAINED AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT IS REQUIRED. THE SUBJECT IS THE MO EXPEDITIOUS METHOD OF ASSURING ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION IS ACQUIRED.
