THIS REQUEST FOR
CLEARANCE IS APPROVED FOR USE THROUGH JUNE 1987 SUBJECT TO THE
FOLLOWING LIMITATIONS: 1- SF 424 is designed to serve as a cover
sheet and provide all necessary cover sheet information. The BLS
designed cover sheet is therefore redundant, and is specifically
disapproved. 2- OMB has repeatedly asked the Department to provide
information about how it plans to use, and the purpose to which it
will put, information about planned pay riases and ADP planning.
The Department has not responded to these requests. Accordingly,
these elements of the Department's clearance request are not
approved and those parts of the collection of information may not
be implemented. OMB will accept and consider a resubmission
requesting clearance of these elements. Such resubmission must
describe the purpose, need, and use for these infomation elements.
The burden continues to be carried at 2,010 hours because the
Department has not explained the basis for the estimated
reduction.
