Abstract: TVA CONDUCTS AN ANNUAL SURVEY OF FIRMS, FEDERAL AGENCIES, AND STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS WHOSE EMPLOYEES PERFORM WORK SIMILAR TO THAT OF TVA'S SALARY POLICY EMPLOYEES. TVA USES THE DATA DURING ANNUAL NEGOTIATIONS TO DETERMINE PREVAILING RATES OF PAY AND BENEFITS IN THE VICINITY AS REQUIRED BY THE TVA ACT.
