Abstract: THIS SURVEY WAS BEGUN IN 1942 TO PROVIDE QUANTITY AND VALUE OF SHIPMEN AND EXPORTS DATA FOR CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY. GOVERNMENT AGENCIES USE DATA FOR TRADE ANALYSIS, MEASUREMENT, AND FORECASTING. BUSINESS FIRMS AND TRADE ASSOCIATIONS USE THE DATA FOR MARKETING ANALYSIS AND LONG-TERM PLANNING.
