Abstract: THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS AMENDMENT ARE AUTHORIZED UNDER THE RADIATION CONTROL FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT OF 1968. IT REQUIRES MANUFACTURERS TO PROVIDE USER INFORMATION TO PURCHASERS OF CT SYSTEMS CONCERNING CONDITIONS OF USE, DOSE, AND IMAGING. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED IS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO ASSURE THAT THE PUBLIC IS NOT EXPOSED TO UNNECESSARY X-RAYS.
