Abstract: THESE REGULATIONS ESTABLISH VARIOUS ELECTIONS WITH RESPECT TO WHICH IMMEDIATE INTERIM GUIDANCE ON THE TIME AND MANNER OF MAKING THE ELECTIONS IS NECESSARY. THE REGULATION ENABLES TAXPAYERS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BENEFITS OF VARIOUS CODE PROVISIONS.
