Abstract: SECTION 73.3525 REQUIRES THAT WHENEVER APPLICANTS FOR A CONSTRUCTION PERMIT FOR A BROADCAST STATION ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT TO PROCURE THE REMOVAL OF A CONFLICT BETWEEN APPLICATIONS PERNDING BEFORE THE FCC BY WITHDRAWAL OR AMENDMENT OF AN APPLICATION OR ITS DISMISSAL, PARTIES FILE A JOINT REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT WITH THE FCC. THIS INFORMATION ASSURES THE COMMISSION THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST IS BEING SERVED AND THAT NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST EXISTS.
