Abstract: SECTION 73.061 REQUIRES THAT EACH AM STATION USING A DIRECTIONAL ANTENNA, NOT HAVING APPROVED SAMPLING SYSTEMS AND THOSE STATIONS THAT ARE REQUIRED BY THE TERMS OF AUTHORIZATION, ARE TO MAKE FIELD STRENGTH MEASUREMENTS AND ENTER THE RESULTS INTO THE STATION LOG. THIS INFORMATION IS USED BY FCC PERSONNEL TO MONITOR COMPLIANCE WITH TECHNICAL RULES AND TO DETERMINE ALLEGED INTERFERENCE TO ANOTHER STATION.
